The Scheppach OSM100 Oscillating Spindle Sander is a cost-effective solution for semi-professionals, DIY enthusiasts, and craftsmen who refuse to compromise on quality. Whether you're working on musical instruments or shaping rounded edges in furniture making, the oscillating sanding spindle of the OSM100 delivers smooth surfaces on all wood pieces.
The OSM100 is a stable spindle sander designed for stationary use in the hobby workshop. Weighing just 13.5 kg, it can still be easily transported when needed. The spacious worktable, made of solid cast iron measuring 370 x 290 mm, offers ample stability and space for sanding large workpieces.
Mounting holes in the housing allow for securing the sander to the workbench or a machine stand, ensuring a secure base for comfortable operation. Spindle sanders excel at precise detail work, thanks to their combination of rotational and oscillating movements. The powerful 450-watt motor of the OSM100 drives the sanding spindle at 58 min-1, providing an oscillation stroke of 16 mm. This results in slower abrasion of sandpaper and a more uniform sanding finish, without noticeable ridges, edges, or grooves. The maximum sanding depth is 98 mm.
To achieve the best results when sanding shaped parts, inner radii, rounded edges, recesses, and cutouts, an oscillating spindle sander is the ideal tool. To meet all your requirements, the OSM100 comes with six sanding sleeves of various diameters (13, 19, 26, 38, 51, and 76 mm), along with matching rubber drums. Six table inserts prevent any gaps between the worktable and the abrasive.
All accessories, from spindle discs to assembly tools, have designated storage spaces. The housing of the spindle sander provides ample storage for accessories and assembly tools, keeping everything organised and within reach.
When in use, a spindle sander generates a significant amount of fine dust. To protect the user from the harmful effects of inhaling dust, the OSM100 spindle sander features an integrated dust extraction port, allowing you to connect it to a powerful dust collection system.
