What is PayPal Credit?

PayPal Credit is like a credit card, without the plastic. It’s a credit limit that’s attached to your PayPal account which you can use for your online purchases. 

What credit offers are available? 

Spend over £150 inc. VAT and choose the PayPal Checkout option. 

You will be redirected to your PayPal account where you can select the PayPal Credit payment option. 

You will be offered 4 months interest-free credit as well as other payment options to help you spread the cost of your payments. 

0% interest for 4 months is available on single transactions of £150 or more. 

Any remaining balance due after the 4-month promotional period or any transaction under £150 will be charged at 17.9% p.a (variable). 

How do I apply? 

Applying is easy. Select the PayPal payment option on the website and you’ll be redirected to your PayPal account. 

Select the ‘Apply Now’ link on the PayPal Credit payment option and complete the short application form. 

PayPal will then run a credit check and, if successful, you’ll have a credit limit linked to your account once you have accepted the Credit Agreement. 

You can then use this credit limit for any future purchases at any store that has the PayPal payment option.

Do I need to have a PayPal account? 

Yes. A PayPal account is free and easy to set up and PayPal is a very secure way of shopping at thousands of online stores. 

You can apply set up a PayPal account as part of the PayPal checkout process or at www.paypal.com.

How do I make the monthly repayments? 

You can make payments from your bank account, debit card or PayPal balance at any time by logging in to your PayPal account and clicking ‘Make a Payment’. 

You can set up a Direct Debit by selecting ‘Set up a Direct Debit’ in your PayPal account or you can call PayPal on 0800 368 7155. 

Can I return items I bought using PayPal Credit? 

Yes, return your purchase in the normal way and the money will be refunded back to your PayPal Credit account. 

What if I’ve not been accepted for PayPal credit? 

If you’ve not been accepted, PayPal will send you more information regarding your application.
