Our Popular Standby Generator, The DHY6000SE

The Hyundai DHY6000SE is one of the most popular sub 10kW standby diesel generators available on the market today. The compact size, regulated clean power output and low noise make it a reliable source of backup electrical power for your business or home. Mitigate risk and prevent downtime in your business, or simply keep your fridge cold and house warm during a power cut. The DHY6000SE is compatible with ATS/MTS or a simple 2-wire start set up. These options make it easy to switch between mains and backup power. (Please note, an ATS module is required alongside the generator if you plan to use ATS/MTS etc).

The DHY6000SE is also compact enough to be used in a workshop or for mobile machinery repairs. Very popular with farmers and agriculture as the generator can be placed in the back of a pick-up and taken to the repair site to power a welder, power tools or compressor as required. This prevents the need to get your machinery back to site and repair.

Reliable Hyundai Power 

The DHY6000SE is powered by our Hyundai D400E 10hp single cylinder engine. Producing a max output of 5.2kW / 6.5kVA*.

The generator has 1 x 115V 16amp, 1x 115V 32amp and 1 x 230V 32amp sockets. You can easily switch between 110V / 230V using the switch on the control panel.

The alternator is fitted with an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) which prevents any major spikes in voltage that can harm sensitive equipment. The AVR alternator ensures the generator produces energy almost as clean as the national grid protecting your TV, laptop or other sensitive devices from harm whilst using generator power.

The large 13-litre fuel tank can provide up to 16 hours of run time @ 50% load. The DHY6000SE can run on standard white or red diesel.

Ease Of Use

The DHY6000SE features electric start and a convenient digital control panel which displays the frequency, voltage and total run time. Keeping on top of the required services is easy when monitoring the hours on the panel.

The DHY6000SE backup power generator is compatible with an optional Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). An ATS will sense the power cut and automatically start the generator even if you're not around. Once the power has been restored, the ATS will again, automatically switch you back to mains power.

The built-in low oil alarm and automatic shutdown keep the generator safe during operation and ensure the engine is protected at all times.

Silenced Operation 

The DHY6000SE is part of the Hyundai silent range so is a quiet generator and comes with a sound attenuated canopy to reduce overall noise levels making it suitable for domestic or low noise areas.

The canopy has large, hinged access panels to make routine maintenance and inspection much easier and is mounted on wheels for ease of movement.

For peace of mind, this generator comes with a Hyundai 1 year / 1,000 hour warranty (whichever comes first), as well as full UK parts backup to maintain your genset for years to come.
