Description

Description

The Stephill SE2700LR is designed to offer both affordable yet totally reliable power for a varying range range of applications and uses.

This is the longer running SE2700LR, completed with a long run 11L fuel tank, which makes the height of the generator slightly taller. As this model has a longer running fuel tank, it has the ability to run for up to 11 hours, based on the oiutput being at 75% of the load capacity and meaning it will last for a good while before the need to refuel.

Everything else about this generator is the same as the standard SE2700 model. It is powered by a industrial Honda GX160 5.5hp four-stroke engine this set is primarly designed for some serious work, and is backed up by a 3 year limited engine warranty. The alternator is also of the highest order, being of Italian origin, the power is drawn from a close coupled to brushless maintenance free alternator with typical low waveform distortion characteristics which help to give an incredibly smooth output.

An entry level Stephill petrol from the 'Super Economy' range, this is a 2.2kW or 2.7kVA max. output model, built in the UK to last. It comes with top mounted control boxes, as well as anti-vibration mounts and heavy duty steel wrap-around frames for ultimate protection.

Noise compliant using the latest low noise engine specification with dual voltage output c/w overload protection, the SE2700 is completed with the inclusion of two BS4343 industrial (1 x 115V 16A sockets, 1 x 230V 16A) sockets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Dear Sir's. I am looking to purchase a Stephill SE2700LR Generator, to run our household electrics in the event of a power cut. Looking to run few lights, t.v., kettle and possibly microwave. Would the 2700 be powerful enough to cover these items or would we need the SE3400 ? I would appreciate your advice before purchase. Thank You Max Boulton.

A. Realistically, this generator may only be enough power to run maybe two or even only one of your items you listed. Kettles are a huge draw, microwaves and things like fridges or freezers also have what are called inrush or start-up currents which require a lot more power than is actually required to run an item, just to get it started before it drops down to idle. Sometimes this can be up to three or even four times more power required just to start these items. Aside from being slightly under-powered in our experience of house backup, petrol goes off too quickly and also this isn't in an enclosed casing, so will be very noisy also.
