This is the Hyundai HYW2500P, a 2800psi petrol pressure washer with a 7hp Hyundai engine and brass head Axial pump. The HYW2500P is one of a new batch of pressure washers from Hyundai, which are the first new Hyundai pressure washers to be introduced to the market since 2010. The HYW2500P puts out a continuous pressure of 2500psi, and will drive up to 2800psi maximum to give an efficient and solid clean in a very short space of time.
It is a medium duty machine with a solid pump and engine driving it's pressure. It's 7hp, 212cc Hyundai recoil engine is a proven engine and is used on many other Hyundai products as a reliable and trustworthy source of power. The pump can see a maximum of 8.75 litres of water per minute, and it's durable Axial build gives the washer a seriously smart finish.
There are also some new features on this model, the likes of which have not been available before on a Hyundai machine. It has a built-in soap dispenser placed towards the base of the pressure washer, which will automatically draw soap into the water stream, but only when the black detergent nozzle is connected. There nozzle tips and the turbo nozzle all have quick release fittings for easy and fast changeovers. The 10m hose has a screw fitting.
It also has a handy removeable handle for easy compact storage. It's sleek design allows the handle to fold down over the top of the engine, meaning the washer creates a tight bundle for use when storage is a problem, and also acts as a guard for the engine when in storage.
Weighing in at only 44kg, and with the ability to run without the need to refuel for a maximum of 3 hours, the HYW2500P is a fantastic new option for all pressure washer users, and a welcome arrival to the UK market, and when compared to equivalent pressure washers from an electric series, a petrol pressure washer is more reliable and certainly a safer option, as the need for electrical cables trailing through water and puddles is taken away. It also means that as you are not reliant on an electric supply, you are not limited to where you can go, so portability is also increased.
