DescriptionBriggs & Stratton Smart home standby generators fuelled by LPG or Natural Gasare an excellent way to give you complete peace of mind and protect your home and family against power cuts. Together with the 'Smart' automatic transfer switch (ATS) the generator will automatically start during a power outage and keep all the essential items running. Thanks to its smart control system it will also power the larger non-essential items without overloading the generator if there is capacity to do so.This means a 14kw B&S LPG generator can be connected to a residential house and supply all of the appliances as if connected to the mains without risk of overloading the generator. With a conventional generator, you would need an industrial size 25kw diesel machine. The LPG/ mains gas generators from Briggs are very compact, stylish and weatherproof, so can be left outside all year round. The low emission engines are also a lot cleaner and environmentally friendly than conventional diesel generators.
POWERFUL ELECTRIC GENERATOR
Powered by an efficient 35hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine the G140 electric generator can provide up to 14kW of clean power and long running times of both mains gas and LPG.
The engine has a simple start/stop push button and built-in overload and low oil level protection.
A sophisticated AVR alternator will also allow you to power sensitive equipment like computers and mobile phones as well as more domestic electrical items such as fridges and lighting.
OPTION FOR AUTOMATION
The G140 can be linked to an optional ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch). The ATS senses the loss of mains power and automatically switches the generator on.
When power has been restored the ATS will switch the generator off meaning you don't need to be at home to know your generator is keeping your appliances running.
The galvanised steel housing is weatherproof and also keeps noise to a minimum making it one of the best generators for low noise and residential areas.ATS:The Briggs & Stratton 'Smart' ATS will monitor the mains power supply and if there is a powercut will start the generator and transfer the supply from national grid to generator. When the mains power is resumed, it will transfer back to mains and stop the generator. The big advantage is the way it distributes the available power throughout the house and between essential and non essential circuits. This allows a 14kw generator to power a standard size home. The ATS unit will also start the generator once a week and check all functions are operational to ensure that the generator will always be ready in an emergency power cut.
